Victoria Beckham Nails Inc Judo Red Nail Polish | Review and Swatch

Victoria Beckham Nails Inc Judo Red Review and Swatch

I thought I would go for a change this week and choose a nice bright colour for my fingers! I bought the Nails Inc Victoria Beckham duo back in the summer and fell head over heels in love with Bamboo White.  It still is, all these weeks later, my favourite nail colour.  It looks so classy and elegant on my nails and I physically have to make myself choose a different colour to wear each week! You can catch up on this particular post here.

Judo Red is a lovely tomato red shade, created in partnership with Nails Inc and the first lady of fashion herself Mrs Beckham. It adds a lovely vivid pop of colour to my hands and cheered me up no end.

Nail art isn’t really my thing, but there is no doubt that the two colours combined would look lovely.

The nail polish is so easy to apply and does not streak.  The manicure above has a base coat, two Judo Red coats and finally a top coat using my absolute favourite product at the moment, Nail Apothecary Gel Top Coat.  If you haven’t already read my glowing review about this top coat, you can catch up here!

You can purchase Victoria Beckham Judo Red singularly for £25.00 or as part of the set for £45.00.  Yes, they are rather pricey but they are so easy to apply and look like I have stepped out of a salon.  The nail polish just seems to glide over the shape of my nails. I guess this is credited to the stretch to fit technology.

Have you tried the Nails Inc Victoria Beckham nail colours? How do you find them? I would, as always, love to hear your thoughts!

Bourjois La Laque Nail Varnish- Chair Et Tendre 02 | Review

Bourjois La Lacque Nail Polish Nail Varnish Chair et tendre 02 swatch review

I’m always really impressed with Bourjois.  They have some fantastic products and offer great value for money.  I have been reading some reviews on the new La Laque nail colours and couldn’t wait to get my hands on a bottle – even though I found them rather hard to find! Not every Bourjois display seem to stock these polishes, so when I went to a larger Boots store last Saturday I couldn’t help but treat myself to Chair Et Tendre 02.  In the bottle this shade looks very pretty and natural with the slightest hint of shimmer.

So, lets start with the bottle.  It is a lovely tactile bottle that is triangular in shape with rounded edges.  The shape helps the bottle to sit comfortably in my hands when painting so thats definitely a positive.

La Laque Nail Varnish makes promises that the shades are highly pigmented with a formula that glides effortlessly onto the nail.    I found this indeed to be the case, and the brush is a lovely shape that helps me to guide the polish onto my nails.  The colour was fairly opaque in just one application but I always like to go for two to correct any streaks that are sometimes inevitable.

The colour is pretty but I am not sure it stands out from other pale nudes.  On initial application the colour was a lovely pink shade but after a few days the colour changed to a beige pink colour that I was not so keen on.  My manicure lasted for about 4 days  chip free with a gel top coat.

So overall, whilst I really love the formula and initial colour I was a little disappointed with how it developed over the course of the week.  That said, I think this is more to do with the colour I chose and I will be giving Bourjois La Laque another chance to impress me as I have my eye on Flambant Rose – a beautiful pinky red that will look great on my toes!

Bourjois La Laque Chair Et Tendre 02 is priced at £6.49, however it can be found a little cheaper online at various outlets.  I bought mine from Boots taking advantage of a 2 for £14 offer that is currently on.

Hope you found this little review useful.  I would love to hear from you if you have tried Bourjois La Laque to see how you found it, and to recommend any other colours.!

Orly Country Club Khaki Nail Polish | Review

Orly Country Club Khaki Review Swatch

For today’s post I wanted to share with you all my nail colour of choice for this week.  Orly Country Club Khaki is a beautiful mushroom brown colour that I love to wear in Autumn.  It is a lovely colour that really seems to flatter all skin tones.  It looks very flattering and really elongates my fingers.

Orly, in my opinion, make the best nail polish bottles with an easy to hold non slip cap that makes for a very easy application. This nail polish applies smoothly and looks great with just one coat.  This particular manicure is two coats as I wanted a deep brown colour rather than a ‘greige’. It has one coat of a gel shine top coat to achieve a plump glossy finish.

Orly Country Club Khaki is widely available online at a variety of different prices depending on the outlet.  I would recommend this colour if you are after a new colour for Autumn.  I keep finding myself stretching out my fingers and admiring the colour.  I guess its clear I am in love with Country Club Khaki!

Hope you enjoyed this little post.  I’m really pleased with the look and wanted to share it with you all.

Chanel Ecorce Sanguine Le Vernis Nail Varnish – Autumn Winter 2015 Collection

Chanel Le Vernis Ecorce Sanguine Nail Colour Nail Polish Review Swatch

It’s Friday evening – my favourite time of the whole week.  For today’s post I wanted to share with you all my thoughts on my chosen nail colour for the past week. Having chosen nudes recently, I decided to go for a change and try out a new nail colour.

I always look forward to seeing the limited edition Chanel nail colours, and the Autumn Winter 2015 collection certainly didn’t disappoint!   The collection offered us a choice of three shades and I want to share with you all my pick of the bunch, Ecorce Sanguine.

This shade is a lovely deep red colour that is just perfect for autumn.  I fell in love with this red when I saw it.  It is somewhat different to any other red I own.  I see it as a classic red, and as we all know Chanel certainly knows how to do a classic.

The colour has a very subtle gold shimmer to it, but this is ever so slight and is only visible when closely examining your nails under natural light.  There is something about this red that I love. It screams Chanel and in my opinion looks very elegant.

The colour was easy to apply, and was opaque in two coats. I used a gel effect top coat to give it a plump glossy shine.

Chanel Ecorce Sanguine is priced at £18 and is available at Chanel counters nationwide.

Chanel Le Vernis Beige Rose 655 Nail Colour – Review

Chanel Le Vernis 655 Beige Rose Le Vernis Nail Colour Review Swatch

Just a short post for today, but one I simply couldn’t resist sharing with you all. Summer 2015 saw the release of the Chanel ‘Les Beiges’ collection. A beautiful collection of beige nail colours that had my name written all over each and every one of them! The colour I am particularly excited about is Beige Rose 655. My manicure of choice for this week!

Chanel Beige Rose is a beautiful glossy pink colour that is the perfect colour for brightening up my hands. It goes on effortlessly and does not streak. This colour has been on my nails for four days so far and it is still chip free.

Overall, I am really pleased with this nail colour. It is priced at £18.00 and you are still able to purchase from some outlets online, but if you are interested I would be quick so you don’t miss out!

I am most impressed with the finish of this colour. In fact, I think it has a gel like quality. What do you think?

Nails Inc Victoria Beckham Bamboo White – Review

Nails Inc Victoria Beckham Bamboo WhiteI have had my eye on the Victoria Beckham Nails Inc collection since getting the email announcing it at the end of last year.  I prefer to stay quite classic in my nail colour choices favouring nudes and reds, so this duo was perfect for me!

The bottles are beautiful and look very pretty on my dressing table.  They are matte opaque black and white bottles inspired by the Victoria Beckham Spring 2015 collection. The side of the bottles are clear and give a hint of the colour inside.

Nails Inc Victoria Beckham Bamboo White

Judo Red is a vibrant tomoto red shade and Bamboo White is a delicate bone shade.  For today’s post I am sharing with you all my favourite out of the two; Bamboo White.

Nails Inc Victoria Beckham Bamboo White

The colour applies beautifully to the nails.  I didn’t find streaking to be a problem, but I applied two coats for the finish above and one coat of Sally Hansen Diamond Top Coat.  The brush is lovely and wide making application very easy.  The colour has no sheen or glitter speck in it.  I own a lot of nudes but this colour really is very unique and not like any other.   I bought these colours for my holiday and the manicure lasted about 5 days chip free and I couldn’t wait to wear it again when I got home!  It’s the prefect, clean, ‘my nails but better’ colour and has taken the place of being my current favourite shade.   Victoria Beckham and Nails Inc have got it spot on with this colour.  I recommend to any nude nail colour fan.  You won’t regret it! I may not be adorned by Victoria Beckham clothing, but at least my nails can say they are!

I bought the duo box set from John Lewis for £45.00.  You can also purchase this separately for £25.00.

The Judo Red review will follow in the near future (but I will have to remove this colour first which I may find hard given my love for it!)

Do you love this nail colour as much as I do? I would love to hear from you!
