Smith & Cult Pillow Pie Nail Polish | Review

Smith & Cult Pillow Pie Nail Polish Nail Varnish Review Swatch Above it all top coat

For todays post I wanted to share with you all another Smith & Cult nail polish.  Pillow Pie is a lovely powdery pink that looks simply gorgeous on the nails.  Finding that perfect opaque soft pink is actually quite hard.  All too often the colour I am expecting from the bottle is not what translates to my nails and the pink is much more sheer than what I really want.

As you know from my previous review of Doe My Dear , the nail polishes are 5-free meaning they are free from nasties that are quite often found in nail polishes.  The bottles are absolutely drop dead gorgeous with each lid being unique in shape. They look stunning on my dressing table.

Smith & Cult Pillow Pie Nail Polish Nail Varnish Review Swatch Above it all top coat

I used two coats of Pillow Pie and one Above It All top coat.  The colour did not drag and went on streak free. The nail polish is very highly pigmented and glossy. The top coat really plumped the colour up and added exceptional shine.

You can purchase Smith & Cult Pillow Pie from Space NK and Selfridges for £19.00. I would recommend this colour if you are after a shade that makes your hands look clean and tidy and one that matches any outfit!

Have you tried any of the Smith & Cult nail polishes? Do you like this particular colour? I would love to hear from you!

Tom Ford Lip Colour Cherry Lush 10 – Review | Lipstick Monday

Tom Ford Cherry Lush 10 Lipstick Review Swatch

What better way to kick off Lipstick Monday than with Cherry Lush.  I have long coveted a Tom Ford lipstick and my dream became a reality last month.  It is every bit as luxurious as I hoped it would be and is the perfect lipstick to wear on a Monday.  I had an extra little spring in my step this morning on my walk into work knowing that I was wearing the lipstick I had dreamt about for so long.

Tom Ford certainly knows a good lipstick! He understands that there really is no better accessary than a perfect lip.  Our lips are the focus of our face and when done well have the ability to define our whole look.

Tom Ford Cherry Lush 10 Lipstick Review

Cherry Lush is a beautiful blue based red shade with a pretty pink hue.  It has a very subtle shimmer that leads to a lovely sheen finish. It looks lovely against my pale skin tone and whilst it is a ‘look at me’ shade it is also extremely wearable and flattering.

I am able to get a lovely full coverage using just a couple of swipes of the lipstick – but of course using a lip brush gives a more precise finish.  The lipstick lasts a  good 2-3 hours before needing to be reapplied. The lipstick itself has a texture like no other I have ever tried, it has a buttery finish and almost melts into my lips.

The lipstick packaging is absolutely beautiful. It is luxuriously weighty with gold accents. A real joy to use and never fails to put a smile on my face when I look at it, and this after all is a Monday must have!

Christian Louboutin Me Nude Nail Colour- Review and Swatch

Christian Louboutin Me Nude Nail Colour Review Swatch

Christian Louboutin.  My guilty pleasure! For today’s post I wanted to share with you all my nail colour choice for the weekend.  What better way to celebrate the end of the working week than with a glossy new manicure. My choice for this weekend is my new Christian Louboutin polish in ‘Me Nude’.  A beautiful opaque camel shade that is both distinctive yet natural at the same time.

This is my third bottle of Louboutin nail colour.  Yes, it is expensive but in my opinion worth it.  I have also reviewed the ‘Sweet Charity’ nail colour Read my Sweet Charity Review here.  Between the two of them, this one is my favourite.

The bottle is beautiful.  It is a faceted bottle with the signature spike handle. The bottle comes in a little box with the handle poking out of the top.  The bottle holds 13 mL.

I applied two coats and a topcoat to achieve this finish. My manicure lasts a full week looking perfect.  It applies beautifully with no streaks.  So, would I repurchase? I most definitely would! This colour will see me through to the winter.  The nail polish costs £36.00 and is available to purchase from various outlets including Selfridges online.

Christian Louboutin really knows how to do nail colour! Have you tried any from his collection? I would love to hear recommendations and how you find the product.

Christian Louboutin Sweet Charity Nail Colour – Review

Christian Louboutin Sweet Charity Nail Colour

Christian Louboutin Sweet Charity Nail Colour

When I discovered Christian Louboutin had launched a nail colour collection I became obsessed! For me, Christian Louboutin shoes are a vision of utter beauty so I was over the moon when he released a nail colour collection last year.  I do have the iconic rouge colour that I will review at a later date but as those of you who follow me may know by now, – I do love my natural colours and after careful swatching online decided Sweet Charity was the shade for me!

Christian Louboutin – Sweet Charity Nail Colour

Christian Louboutin Sweet Charity is an incredibly sheer, soft white and creamy opaque colour.  To be pretty honest I am a little disappointed as it does take more than two coats to get a good coverage but it certainly gives a nice glossy finish.  I would say it is a universally flattering shade as the colour is very sheer and buildable.

Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top Coat

Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top Coat

The overall appearance of the bottle is most definitely dressing table worthy – the handle is styled on a Christian Louboutin heel and I think I can safely say there really is nothing like this on the shelves!  The glass bottle is a lovely shape and is both pleasing to the eye and useful as the bottle is easy and stable to hold whilst painting my nails.

I used the Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top Coat to finish my manicure on this occasion.

The nail polish comes in a 13ml bottle and was made in the USA.

The Nail Polish retails at £36, and I bought mine from Selfridges.

I will be doing a review of the iconic Rouge Louboutin in the next few weeks- an equally beautiful colour but of course very different.

I have my heart set on the Christian Louboutin Tres Decollete nail colour next….It’s on my never ending beauty wish list!

Have you tried any of the Christian Louboutin nail colours? Can you recommend any shades to add to my wish list? I would love to hear your recommendations.
